Our Driveway Installation Process
Site assessment & layout: We measure your driveway area, assess soil stability, drainage patterns, and slope. Any soft spots are excavated and replaced with compacted gravel base.
Sub-base preparation: 4–6 inches of compacted Class II base material is installed and graded to ensure proper drainage away from your home and garage.
Forming & reinforcement: Precision wood or steel forms define your driveway edges. #4 rebar on 18" centers (or equivalent wire mesh) is installed 2 inches above grade.
Concrete pour & finishing: We use 4,000–4,500 PSI concrete with fiber additive for crack resistance. Slump is tested on-site. Surface is hand-floated and finished to your specification.
Control joints: Saw-cut control joints at 8–10 foot intervals guide any shrinkage cracking to invisible, straight lines below the slab surface.
Curing: We apply a professional-grade curing compound immediately after finishing. Proper 28-day curing is critical for reaching design strength — we communicate care instructions clearly.
